Hello, dear readers! I'm here to report some new developments in my writerly endeavors. Read on for some updates and upcoming news! I am currently laid up at home with a broken leg, but that won't stop me from providing you all with the info you need.
First off, The Things We Do for Blood has been out in the world for a whole month! You can purchase it directly from this link or reach out to me directly for a signed copy! That will cost the same amount as the regular one!
I caught up with a friend and colleague recently went for a sweet little bite at the Butterwood Bake Consortium in Lawrenceville, and she captured these extra sweet photos of the book with some delightful goodies.
The Things We Do for Blood definitely has that quirky Gothic vibe that Butterwood definitely has in its architecture, so we couldn't miss an opportunity for a photo op. The book will be featured in an alumni display at my alma mater's library!
In other news, my work with Incubator Productions has been productive. Recently, I piloted our Incubator Interview Series with comics professionals. In true spooky fashion, I started off our program with an interview with Black Cat Comics' Francesca Maria. Follow this link for access to the interview transcript, as well as a direct link to the Patreon where the full interview is available!
Coming soon--I'll be serving on a Queer Joy in Comics panel as part of ALA's Graphic Novel and Comics Roundtable for the organization's Banned Books Week programming. The panel will be composed of GNCRT members from across the country, librarians with exclusive interests in queer comics and how librarianship can center these often neglected or banned materials. You can find all the info at the following link!
Additionally, my novel Stuffed has a finalized book wrap, made by yours truly. Thanks to the team at Unveiling Nightmares for giving me the flexibility to put together the wrap myself. Check it out below, with a couple blurbs from local Pittsburgh authors!
I can't wait to see this actually come to life in the form of an actual book! With Incubator Productions, we will soon be piloting cover design services and book wrap creation, so stay tuned for any more updates on that front.
There's much more to come--new works in progress, academic research, work with the Horror Writers Association--so check back soon for more of my literary endeavors! These blog posts will also be distributed via newsletter, so make sure to sign up to get all the most recent details!
